Frequently Asked Questions

Straightforward answers about contract reviews and civil law consultations in Nigeria.

What types of contracts do you review?

We review personal agreements, residential and commercial leases, consumer purchase contracts, and service agreements. Our focus is on ensuring the terms are fair and enforceable under the Nigerian Law of Contract.

How long does a contract review take?

Most standard reviews are completed within two to three business days. Complex agreements with multiple clauses may require up to five business days. We will provide a timeline after an initial assessment.

Do I need to come to your office for a consultation?

No. We offer remote consultations via phone or video call. If you prefer an in-person meeting, we can schedule one at our office at 69 Adeoluwa Street. Both options are available to suit your convenience.

What is the difference between a civil law consultation and contract review?

A civil law consultation covers broader legal questions about your rights and obligations under Nigerian civil law, such as disputes or compliance. A contract review is a focused examination of a specific document to identify risks and suggest amendments.

How do I prepare for a contract review session?

Send us the unsigned contract along with any related correspondence or notes. We will read through the document and prepare a list of points to discuss. You do not need to do anything else beforehand.

Our Mission & Principles

Wandinwines Legal exists to make civil law and contract review accessible to individuals and small businesses across Nigeria. We believe that clear, fair agreements are the foundation of trust in every transaction.

Clarity in Every Clause

We translate legal language into plain terms so you understand exactly what you are signing. Our reviews focus on identifying ambiguous wording, missing terms, and unbalanced obligations before they become disputes.

Impact: You enter agreements with full knowledge of your rights and responsibilities.
Nigerian Law of Contract as Our Guide

Every review and consultation is grounded in the Nigerian Law of Contract, including the principles of offer, acceptance, consideration, and intention to create legal relations. We apply this framework to personal agreements, leases, and consumer purchases.

Impact: Your contracts are legally sound and enforceable under Nigerian jurisdiction.
Proactive Prevention Over Litigation

Our goal is to prevent legal problems before they arise. By reviewing contracts at the drafting or signing stage, we help you avoid costly court cases and preserve relationships with tenants, landlords, sellers, and service providers.

Impact: Fewer disputes, lower legal costs, and greater peace of mind.
Confidentiality and Trust

All client documents and discussions are treated with strict confidentiality. We maintain a secure process for sharing agreements and provide honest, unbiased advice that puts your interests first.

Impact: You can speak freely and share sensitive documents with complete confidence.
